Manage a Cluster

On the main menu of ZStack Cloud, choose Resource Center > Hardware > Computing Facility > Cluster. Then, the Cluster page is displayed.

The following table lists the actions that you can perform on a cluster.
Action Description
Create Cluster Create a cluster in the current zone.
Edit Cluster Edit the name and description of the cluster.
Enable Cluster Enable the cluster when it is disabled.
Disable Cluster Disable the cluster when it is enabled.
Note:
  • Disabling a cluster also disables all the hosts in the cluster.
  • After a cluster is disabled, you can manually re-enable some hosts in the cluster, or add new hosts to the cluster without enabling the cluster again.
Attach L2 Network Attach an L2 network to the cluster.
Detach L2 Network Detach an L2 network from the cluster.
Note: Detaching an L2 network also detaches the corresponding VM NIC. Please exercise caution.
Attach Primary Storage Attach a primary storage to the cluster.
Detach Primary Storage Detach a primary storage from the cluster.
Note: When you detach a primary storage from a cluster, note the following:
  • This operation might shut down VM instances on the primary storage and associated with the selected cluster, thus affecting the service running. Please exercise caution.
  • This operation might delete VPC vRouters on the primary storage and associated with the selected cluster, thus affecting the corresponding network service. Please exercise caution.
  • This operation might cause the volumes on the primary storage and associated with the selected cluster to fail to work properly. Please exercise caution.
Delete Cluster Delete the cluster.
Note:
  • Deleting a cluster also deletes all the hosts in the cluster.
  • If the cluster has a LocalStorage primary storage attached, you will also delete the VM instances, volumes, and snapshots on the hosts of the cluster. Please exercise caution.
